This monograph focuses on the new and largely undeveloped area of translation studies/translatology i.e. the theory of texts, with an onus on translation. The text is viewed as an object of the translation-to-be, and as a result of the completed translation. A lot of attention is paid to creating a classification of text types, focusing on translation, and a description of the different types. The theoretical provisions serve as a basis for creating an effective didactic model, that is, the optimal algorithm for educating interpreters and translators.
The monograph is geared towards a wide circle of linguists, translators and translation teachers, and also students of translation.
