This book examines the normative, legal and institutional elements in international justice; its history and methodology of study; and procedural and organizational issues arising from the activity of international courts. Twenty three authors from universities in Moscow, Kiev, Saint Petersburg, Barnaul, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg, Irkutsk, Novosibirsk and Saratov took part in writing the book. This large-scale representation is testament to the fact that the importance of international justice has been admitted by Russian teachings, and that the teachings themselves have considerable potential in this area. The authors collaborated to resolve many questions regarding the compilation of the book e.g. title choice, structure, themes.

The book can be used during the teaching and study of courses on international law and special courses on international justice. Moreover, it may be of help to lawyers and state bodies working with international law standards.
