The daughter of a prominent figure in Soviet diplomacy G. Pushkin (1909-1963) describes the life path of her father from childhood in his native village of Smolensk through his student years in Moscow, joining the Diplomatic Service, where he achieved considerable success, becoming at the age of 30 the Soviet Ambassador in Slovakia, and after Second World War - the ambassador to Hungary, the Head of Mission of the USSR in the GDR, the High Commissioner of the USSR in Germany, and then as deputy foreign minister.

 

In the Appendix of the book there are materials from the archives of G. Pushkin: notes, abstracts for presentations and conversations, his collection of sayings of famous writers and etc.
